Editorial standard / v1.0

Useful before searchable.

Leadulo publishes for people running B2B growth work. Search demand can point to a question; it cannot justify a weak answer or press “publish.”

01

Choosing the work

Signals enter a queue, not a page generator

We watch first-party Search Console movement, repeated CRM and sales questions, customer language, product changes, and external trend tools. A signal is only a reason to investigate.

  1. Capture. Record the query, source, first-seen date, intended reader, and the existing canonical page it may overlap.
  2. Score. Check buyer relevance, available evidence, durability, product fit, and whether the reader needs a new answer.
  3. Choose. Refresh an existing guide, add a dated signal brief, consolidate overlapping pages, or ignore the signal.
  4. Review. A person owns the angle, evidence, internal links, title, and final publication decision.
02

The publish gate

Every field note must earn its URL

Required

Information gain

A firsthand workflow, worked example, original observation, decision rule, useful template, or credible synthesis.

Required

An honest boundary

A limitation, counterexample, unsupported area, or clear statement of when the advice does not apply.

Required

Traceable claims

Links to primary or authoritative sources for factual claims that are changeable, technical, regulated, or easy to misstate.

Required

A useful next step

A relevant tool, adjacent note, or product workflow — never a generic call to action repeated on every page.

03

Freshness

An updated date records a real change

ClassUseReview rule
EvergreenStable operating methods and templatesReview when the product, workflow, or evidence changes
Freshness watchAPIs, platform rules, market shifts, or other changeable subjectsCarry a visible next-review date and dated source check
Experiment logA dated test with a specific setup and observation windowKeep the original dates; add follow-up results without rewriting history

Changing a footer, template, or copyright year does not make an article “updated.” We change dateModified and sitemap lastmod only after a meaningful content, evidence, structured-data, or contextual-link update.

04

Use of AI

AI can help with the work. It does not own the claim.

AI may help cluster notes, surface repeated questions, challenge an outline, or create a first draft. A named person remains responsible for the argument, sources, examples, limitations, internal links, and final wording.

  • No automatic page creation from a trend feed.
  • No invented customer outcomes, statistics, quotes, or product behavior.
  • No date changes made only to appear fresh.
  • No near-duplicate pages for keyword variants with the same intent.
  • No hiding an AI-written claim behind passive language such as “research shows.”

Reference point

The standard follows the same advice we give clients

Leadulo's approach is aligned with Google's current guidance to create people-first content, use descriptive crawlable links, show accurate article dates, and keep sitemap modification dates honest.

See the standard in use

Browse the field notes, not a keyword warehouse.

Every published page sits inside a small, curated information architecture with a named author and a clear route back to the operating problem.
